Eeeee! So *cute*!!! I love this! :D

I love Jim's inner monologue all the way through this, his lascivious thoughts interspersed with strategies to use to approach Spock *safely* and get his wishes across. There's a certain charm to Jim apparently feeling a bit insecure and definitely unsure of himself in an arena where he's normally so confident, recognizing the sweep-'em-off-their-feet approach won't cut any ice with Spock. The references to Browning, Stanley & Livingstone were cute, too - of course smart!jim would put those things together in his head, and of course he'd be as in love with Spock's brain/intelligence as he was with his body. :)

The solution, of course, was such an elegant one - who needs words when you've got a telepath around?

Yayayayay! I'm so very, very happy you enjoyed it. I was torn on whether to do a humorous approach or a more serious one but once the communication theme popped into my head, the story kind of wrote itself, lol. It was a great prompt, one that could be done in a million different ways, I really enjoyed contemplating the possibilities of it.
