So I can't help but notice (I'd have to be blind not to) that the comms have pretty much been deader than a doornail lately. The part of me that is ever the eternal optimist is hoping that this is just because it is summer, and a large group of people have migrated to Cancun for Pina Coladas and a short break from the internet (drink one down for me, loves!). The pessimist is wondering if interest in fandom is starting to wan now that Reboot is over a year old (the ST fandom is over forty years old, so my second question would be is it just the Reboot crowd that is waning and those of us who also love TOS are the only ones still sticking around?). I wont lie, the thought depresses the hell out of me. I didn't realize how spoiled I was navigating through twenty to thirty fics a day, thanks to you marvelous writers and the various comms I belong to *blows kisses*, until it slowed down to a trickle. Would I sound completely like an addict going through withdrawals if I said I greatly miss the humongous cornucopia of reading material, like, a lot?

It makes me sad, because I don't feel nearly close to losing the desire to read fanfiction nor the desire to write it. So I guess my question, especially for you ST fans on my flist, is are you still with me?
